Best time to visit

Kaziranga National Park enjoys tropical climate with extreme rainfall during monsoon season. The Park is closed from 01 May till 31 Oct every year for the visitors, as this time the area is under high alert due to Brahmaputra river floods. The park remains open from November till April.During summer, the climate is hot, dry and windy, which brings the animals around the water bodies.The best time to visit Kaziranga National Park is during winter season, fromNovember till February.

How to reach

By Air:Guwahati International Airport and Jorhat Airport, located at the distance of 217 km and 97 km respectively are the two main airports for Kaziranga National Park. Guwahati International Airport has frequent flight all the other parts of India, which makes it the preferred choice amongst the two.

By Train:The nearest railway station to Kaziranga National Park is Fukrating Junction. It is well connected rail route to the major railway stations of Guwahati and Jorhat, located at the distance of 240 km and 90 km respectively.
